Vista Gallery was Editors’ Pick for BEST OF OLD AND NEW (Art Gallery) in the Tahoe Quarterly - Insiders’ Annual 2007- The “BESTS” of Every Season. The magazine acknowledged Vista Gallery’s large selection of nostalgic photographs and contemporary art. These unique images have been used to decorate many vacation cabins and homes.
The contemporary art is balanced with an exclusive collection of over 2000 vintage and nostalgic photographic images. Most of this collection depicts life in Tahoe and the Sierra, from the late 1890’s to the early 1960’s. We also have a selection of original antique prints, maps and other nostalgic images. We have available a nice selection of local posters, contemporary satellite poster maps of the area and the classic limited edition antique, 1876 Lake Tahoe Map.
Vista Gallery is enhanced with custom picture framing services. We are very concerned with not only the display of art but the protection of art and keepsakes through conservation materials and the most effective and safest hanging hardware. We take extra care to educate our customers about good design concepts and the proper care and alternatives now available for framed art and keepsakes. A new page has been added regarding understandings of picture glasses.
The view from the large picture windows affords the only real view (vista) of Lake Tahoe from any art gallery.
