A Horse
A horse is my father's heart beating over the Earth as it runs with the wind. A horse is the leather that binds my parents together, The hide that hides their secrets.
A horse is a spirit that is bound to the Earth that we attach wings to. A horse has wheels that tumble and reel like the stone of a bird's wing. A horse is our myth and our truth. We see its strength trying to buck out of its skin.
A horse is a way we can touch the earth while flying through the air. A horse is almost controlled wildness that dances like rock and roll. A horse is a running river through the wind, and A blue and white pinto that turns to a palomino near the days end

Idaho Breeze II
There is a breeze Through the years that blows from Idaho Through the pines and the sage Like a jack rabbit snaking like a river Around the eagle's shadow Darting like Appaloosa spots and rain drops Humming like bees and breezed leaves Mountaineering with the sky Like a trout looking where it has been and swimming where it has never seen We all find our way home Drawing our map to our heart From our mind we connect the dots Fly fishing in our favorite spot
