The Tahoe Steamer at Carnelian Bay, #A1049

c. 1935
This was taken by F. A. Lentz for one of his popular postcards from the basic location of what is now Garwoods Restaurant looking toward the boat marina.
The Tahoe Steamer was the main means of transportation on Lake Tahoe from the turn of the century to 1939 when it was scuttled. It also transported many supplies and the mail around the lake.
