Tahoe Steamer at Tahoe Tavern pier #C224

The Tahoe Tavern was a grand hotel and casino resort at Tahoe City. Note the railraod cars to the right of the image, on the pier! The Tahoe train took travelers from Truckee, California, along the Truckee river to Tahoe City and stopped at the long Tavern pier. There travelers could hop off the train right onto the Tahoe Steamer and take a cruise around lake Tahoe.
