Framed Element Series Nostalgic Tahoe Photograph

The Element Series, four mixed-media artworks by Douglas E. Taylor,
depicting the four elements, Air, Earth, Water and Spirit.

These one-of-a-kind canvas images are all 12 by 10 inches except Spirit (Aspen leaves), which is 12 by 11 inches. 

The over all framed sizes are all 17.625 by 15.75 inches except for Spirit (Aspen leaves), which is 17.625 by 16.5 inches. The frame moulding width is three inches and over a half inch thick.  The wood moulding is finished with an “aged gold” which is very organic and distressed looking.

The framed Element Series seen below is $1,105 each. They can be purchased individually or as a set.

 These one-of-a-kind “mixed-media” pieces are created on canvas with a combination of acrylic painting and a collage. The collage (pasting of various papers) is made of various types of printmaking fragments the artist produces with his own hand-built intaglio etching press, and also subtle collage layers of Oriental rice papers, and metal foils. The artist has been utilizing iridescent and interference iridescent acrylic painting since 1986. The colors shift and change with the quality and character of the lighting on the artwork and the viewers view point.  There are also high quality gicle’e reproductions of some of these images, click this link to see.
