From the North Lake Tahoe Bonanza article below:

Vista Gallery is featured in the October (1999) issue of Decor Magazine, a popular national trade pubVista Gallery recognized nationallylication for art galleries, picture frame shops
 and interior designers.

The slant of the
article recognizes how
the owner, Douglas Taylor
has distinguished
his business on the
North Shore of Lake Tahoe
 and created a very
unique business.
His success and longevity
is credited to satisfying a unique niche in the community and according to the Decor article by Joyce Zabell, Taylor has created an uncommon
business nationally as well.

The three-page article is detailed enough to tell the story of how
Taylor developed the business from little resources and succeeded
with a creative approach to business.

“I persevered in hopes of creating a business that is different from
the majority of other related businesses,” he said.  “Vista Gallery and
Framing is more progressive and educational than most art galleries and
frame shops. As an art educator I try to create a friendly and
non intimidating environment that fosters curiosity and inspiration.
The business was established to help people with their art and
framing needs in a friendly and special way. I have always tried to go the extra step to create a meaningful visit and relationship with everyone
who walks through the door.”

The gallery identifies itself with a display of original contemporary art
in a wide variety of media.  Most of the art is representative of progressive urban galleries or museums.
