Scott Thompson took his first black and whit photography class in 1996 and immediately fell in love with it. He has been working in the photography industry ever since. He’s worked at camera stores, print labs, and for portrait businesses. Scott started Scott Shots Photography, a commercial photography and fine art photography business, in 1998 and he says “I couldn’t see myself doing anything else, I truly love what I do for a living.”
Scott has been living in Truckee with his wife and son since 2002. He currently photographs with a Canon 1Ds Mark III and a Canon 5D Mark II. Both are 21.1 megapixel cameras capable of producing very large gallery quality prints. He uses a variety of lenses. His studio has a color calibrated MacBook Pro for processing images, a 44″ wide Epson 990 for making large prints, and a color corrected lighting in the studio to make sure all of his print colors are perfect.
Prints are available as 8″ x 10″ all the way up to 30″ x 40″ limited edition prints printed by Scott personally. Images are printed on a 100% cotton paper and are packaged with archival and acid free materials. Canvas gallery wraps, printed and signed by Scott are also available.
